I've been to Vegas a number of times over the years. I find it an exciting place to go to since it's so different from where I live.

I enjoy the sites and sounds of Vegas. The shows are top notch and the food is great. I've never had a bad experience when I've gone.

To me Vegas is a place to get away from the cares of the world for a short time. Spend time with my wife and just enjoy being away.

So much to do and you don't even need to gamble!

So, simply, my answer is yes it is all that it's cracked up to be.

It really depends on what you're looking for. I've always enjoyed all the sensory stuff - the lights, the outrageous architecture, sounds of the casino, etc. You definitely know you're not in Kansas anymore :). I'm sure some people probably think it's a bit much.

For live entertainment, Vegas can't be beat -there are so many choices: headliner music and comedy acts, burlesque shows, magicians, five Cirque du Soleil shows (!), Blue Man Group, and the list goes on. Also, fitting for the city that never sleeps, there are tons of world-class nightclubs and bars.

I make it to Vegas 2-3 times a year either for work or fun, and I always have a good time, especially with friends.

yes, most certainly, its better than its advertised imo, where else can you nightclub on the 60th floor 500 feet above the Strip, where else can you step abroad the starship enterprise, where else can you see a sirens do battle with pirates and an 50 foot exploding volcano, where else can you ride the worlds most extreme rides 1150 feet above the ground???

SkankyHoBo has obviously not been to vegas since the mid 1990s, las vegas version 2007; family oriented, you have got to be kidding right, those days are long gone,

Yes, and then some! If you go, go see "The Blue Man Group", it is unbelievable. Great hotels to stay in... Belagio, Monte Carlo, Caesar's Palace (jacuzzi suites), on a lower budget... Bali's, The Riviera, and the Tropicana are good hotel choices, and any of the Comedy clubs are very reasonably priced. If you're planning to stay Downtown, stay at the Golden Nuggett and catch the awesome laser show outside, above. Hope you go and have a blast!

I live here. It is not always hot!!!! Last Jan we didn't get over 44 in the day time! It is NOT all dirty & sleezy!! There are a lot of NICE places here! There is a LOT of $$$$$ here!!! People just don't know what they are talking about!!! It is fun here!!! Working here is good also!! Houses are pretty cheap, I am from southern CA & it is cheaper here than there. You should come & see how you like it!!! That is the only way you'll know!!! Good luck!!!!

and more, I have been complaining about not being in Vegas ever since I left when my vacation was over, and that was over a year ago.

So much more than gambling and drinking, there are so many attractions and things to see it's ridiculous, and the weather is awesome.
