No, the real Sheraton is called Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers.
The building and land are not owned by Starwood; they only have a management agreement.

I definitely recommend pre-booking your hotel, I was there recently and had a very difficult time finding a good hotel in a good location, same with some friends of mine who were there last week. I'm sure the hotel desk at the airport will have something, but if you want a better choice, I think it's best to do it as far in advance as possible. Phuket seems to be more crowded this year than the last few years. Have fun.

there is a Sheraton in Abuja. but from they way you ask, it looks like you are scared of something, and really it is a scam

It sounds a Nigerian scam. Ignore it if you have received any offers from them. Take care, don't lose your money.
