Supposedly there was a violin sonata or concerto written that was so difficult it was rumored to be cursed due to its creation by the Devil himself. It is said that if someone learns to play it in its full virtuosity, the person will die. Can anyone help me here? I'd like to at least find the name even if there aren't recordings available.

Perhaps you are talking about the Tartini Violin Sonata in g minor known as "The Devil's Trill"

Do you mean tartini's violin sonatain g minor? It is also known as "The Devil's Trill". Legend says that one day, Tartini dreamed that the devil played him a wonderful tune. Soon after he woke up, he quickly write the music notes the Devil played.

Waylon J, I warn you to not listen to the recordings of the sonata. Maybe it has a side effect on you.
