I didn't think Bush would be as good in the NFL as others believed. Hindsight is 20/20 but Addai is a superior back

Personally I think they need to just convert Reggie Bush to a receiver. I've been a Saints fan for years so after many disappointing season under the helm of Aaron Brooks this game was nothing. I think one of the biggest reasons the offense was in such a funk tonight is the fact that they tried to get Bush the ball entirely too much. They need to leave the running to Deuce McAllister and leave the receiving to Reggie Bush. I still like the addition of Bush to our roster but this is his 2nd year in the NFL and he didn't really display the game changing ability that you expect to see out of a first round pick (in his position). Reggie Bush can't run in between the tackles and seems to get stuck behind the lind of scrimmage more often than not when he tries to take it outside. All in all the entire team played horribly, its not any 1 player's fault.

UncleDaddy: Dude what are you talking about? Drew Brees is the best thing that could have happened to the New Orleans Saints. Yeah he had a bad game tonight but look at everything else he's done with that team. They went from having the 1 man debocle of Aaron Brooks to having a solid quarterback who threw for 26 touchdowns and only 11 picks last season, not to mention almost 5,000 yards. Brees will bounce back next week against Tampa Bay and the Saints will get the ball rolling and reclaim their spot as the NFL's most explosive offense.

I don't know about being the "better fit" but he was the Heisman winner and given the shape that NO was in and needing a RB and being able to acquire one of his caliber; plus the boost to the morale of the entire state that he brought them and the team; they made the right choice.
They just now need to solidify that OLine and let him run more.
Remember how Tony Dorsett would have those little rinky dink runs then all of a sudden…POW!
That’s the type runner I see Bush as being.
Adai…I think has more power and is more able to knock a muddafudda down!
He’s not slouch either for that ‘lul sump‘um extra when ya need more blocking in the backfield.
They’re both still babies in the NFL…only two years old.
Let’s see what their stats are like after about 6-7 years.
I think by then Bush may be playing for some other team.
That and Brees in not much longer for NO either.
He’s short as far as the personnel is getting now and he’s gonna continue having problems getting the ball long completions.
NO should consider more the 1 – 2 punch they have in Bush and McAllister and a controlled short passing game and rely on the running ability of the receiver after the catch.
Every now and then that will help them to be better able to throw the long ball.

Deuce is much better than Reggie. The Saints should trade him for a stud defender or two while he is still worth something. Bush is the most overrated player I've ever seen!

bush sucked tonight, no ability to create, just goes down when hit... hands down addai is the best running back of last year's class, the guy is great... the colts really got lucky that the pats stole maroney from them and they got addai instead.

Bush is still the better player. Will probably be the best in the game 2 or 3 years from now.

No, do not judge Bush by his performance tonight. That was a team loss.
