Is the scam advertising trying to sell you, one (or more) of these useless products? If it is one of these, then it is likely an infection called Smitfraud that is causing the phony warnings. It is scam advertising trying to swindle you. And a link to a free removal tool is down at the bottom.

If so, then you most likely have a serious Smitfraud infection and a free removal tool called SmitFraudFix with the removal procedure is here:

More infomation and another free removal tool called RogueFix can be found here:

Most "All-Purpose" malware apps such as AVG, Norton, Spybot etc unfortunatly can not remove or even detect this vile pest called Smitfraud.

Good luck.

yes ad-ware will do the trick-- www.download.com search for adware and download it.

but another pointer would be to get rid of mcaffee and install AVG

mcaffee is good but avg is just as good

mcaffee is also loaded with a ton of crap you do not need the same goes for norton--

if you have a computer that is not brand new i would do this

first uninstall mcaffee
start^control panel^ add/remove programs and click mcaffee and remove if you have multi mcaffee programs delete them all

after you delete go to download.com and search for AVG download it install it then click update it is free and wont take up nearly as much of your system resources as mcaffee

Hi

I did a copy and paste because I post this suggestion a lot. I suggest that you download some free anti-spyware and anti-virus programs and perform full/thorough scans. These programs are very effective for removing these types of problems:

AVG Anti-Virus:
http://www.grisoft.com/doc/download-free...

Spyware Terminator:
http://www.spywareterminator.com/...

Super Anti-Spyware:
http://www.superantispyware.com/index.ht...

Ad-Aware 2007 Free:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_awar...

Avast:

Spybot:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html

AVG Anti-Rootkit:
http://www.grisoft.com/doc/download-free-anti-rootkit/us/crp/0

If you don't have a firewall installed try one of these:
Comodo:
http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/d...

Zone Alarm:
http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/c...

If you are interested in more programs for your computer, go to http://www.download.com/

If you need help on how to run the programs, feel free to email me. I hope this helps you.

Even if you block them, they'll still pop out. The pop-ups are run by spyware/malware. Use Ad-aware 2007 to get rid of them. You can download them free at http://www.lavasoft.com or from http://www.download.com and search for spyware removal.

You can also use Spybot Search & Destroy from http://www.safer-networking.org

I use 'em both.
