Never heard of it. I work in restaurants and as a part-time fundraising supervisor. Been asked for a criminal record check but never for samples of anything, which I have nothing to worry about because I don't take prescription drugs or illegal drugs. Poppyseed muffins can come up as opium derivatives on a test, so watch out for that.

I don't know but it should be! I'm so tired of working with these stoned zombies who I have to pick up their slack plus risk injury cause they have no clue what planet they are on!! If you work full time where I do you get a drug test but for our seasonals they don't and there in lies the problem. I know for some jobs they do use the hair follicle testing and yes it's legal cause you don't have to have it done, only if you want to work there!

Yes more companies are doing drug testing by hair samples.
That's because if you do drugs it stays in your hair for a long time.

Everything is legal until proven otherwise. I could ask you for a toe nail the whole thing not just part and if you didn't I wouldn't hire you.

it can be...it goes back 6 months and it obviously cant be flushed out. its usually a urine sample because it cheaper and takes less time to process.

Yep, it is to weed out the losers who cause others more work, more on the job injuries, etc. People are tired of paying for dopeheads.
