my second daughter is 8 months old (30 weeks).. she is still only eating 2nd foods and she eats 1 1/2 jars 2x a day. Should I be introducing any solid foods yet or trying 3rd foods? (ps. she doesnt have any teeth yet)

How much formula is she taking? I don;t think you need to give her any more solids yet unless she is showing you signs of wanting more... 2 meals a day should be ok, however you will want to start introducing the third one soon.
Try to match them with your own meal schedule.
As far as quantity for each meal, it sounds good to me.

Although each child is different,I'd log what she eats for a week and how much ,and share this with your child's doctor to make sure this is appropriate.If it was me,I'd start buying third foods,though.My son at that age was on third foods and some solids.My daughter progressed quicker and was on all solids at that age.My daughter had one tooth at 8 monthes,my son had 5 or 6.Hope this helps.

Your pediatrician has some great handouts you can just post on your fridge stating all of the food groups and how many servings, serving sizes, etc. etc. according to the baby's age. I highly reccomend snagging one.

You should be discussing this with your baby's doctor at her check up visits.
