2 c = - 54
c = - 27

2/3c=-18 Multiply both sides by 3c
2=-18 x3c Divide both sides by 2
1=-9 x 3c simplify
1 =-27c Divide both sides by -27

Multiply by 3 on both sides of the equation
3* 2/3c = -18 * 3
this cancels the 3 on the left side leaving you with
2c = -54
then you divide by 2
2c/2 = -54/2
giving you :
c = - 27
