I believe that an argument, especially if it's really heated, is a waste of time. Something ends up being said that they will regret and it can never be taken back. So I tell whoever it is that we are accomplishing nothing and I walk away. In a day or two when both have calmed down and returned to reason, then you can sit and work it out. It really ticks off my Dad and Sister at the time of the argument, but they get over it!!

Usually, it's argue but I'm trying to be more controlling of my feelings. So I sometimes try to talk calmly and if that doesn't work, I walk away.
