i have a couple and they all seem to do it ....

It sounds like the corset is the wrong size for you. Sometimes you have to try several sizes by several different manufacturers to find the perfect fit.

I wonder if the corset could be too big and the extra fabric is bunching up when you tighten it. Try tugging it along the top and pulling on the bottom to see if this straigtens it out more. I'm not really sure what you mean from the description, because you didn't say where the lump is. It's possible you could have gotten a defective one. Check the boning to make sure none is exposed and there aren't any bends or breaks in it.

Different people all have differences in their body, and a corset (especially one with a zipper as opposed to one that laces up) will bunch up in certain places. I have that problem too, always have to readjust it. Also moving around can cause it to shift and then bend creating lumps.
As far as finding one that doesn't do it...good luck!
