Try this:
1. Reset CMOS through jumper or by removing CMOS battery for about 30 seconds. Load Fail Safe Defaults, save and exit.
2. Repair your OS. Follow this:
http://www.informationweek.com/shared/printableArticle.jhtml?articleID=189400897
ALL files will remain INTACT afterwards.
3. Boot to SAFE MODE. Scan for virus preferably twice w/ different anti-virus.

I would suggest unplugging everything from the mobo except the hard drive, cpu, and ram. That includes all add on cards. If you still have the same trouble on boot, the trouble is in the os, and you will need to reformat and reinstall. If not, then add one item at a time, rebooting untill you find the trouble.
There is also a thing called verifier, which allows windows to flag a driver, if that is the cause. Once you can get to boot, go to start/run type verifier create standards list select all unsigned drivers, and the next bsod will have added info, if in fact a driver is the issue. And good luck!

You'll need to get the stop code(s) from the BSOD in order to figure out what to do. Try pressing the "Pause" key while the BSOD is being displayed so you can write down the stop code and Google it.

No, do not re-install, you can search yahoo.com for the 0x000etc that your receive in the BSOD. This should pin point where the problem is coming from. Could be memory, PCI card, or something else.

Oh g-d The Blue Screen of DEATH! it means you have an error somewhere, maybe an important file is corrupt or something missplaced physically in your computer

Indeed, what does the error say? If we have that information, we might be able to help you. If not, a fresh install of the operating system SHOULD correct this error, unless it's hardware related

Sounds like you are going to have to take the 'puter to a repair shop and see what's causing the problem
