are they as good as say, Lancome and clinique? which are good?

Their cold cream (they call it clean cream) is amazing! It's so gentle on your skin! The makeup is the same as you'd find at the store...except their concealers are a little nicer. They go on smoother than most. Nailpolish is the same as any other. I've only tried a few lotions, but they didn't seem any better than something you could get at bath and body works.

Avon is NOT even in the same league as Lancome or Clinique. It is basically a drugstore brand that is sold door to door. If you use Lancome and Clinique you will be throwing money away by using Avon. But to answer your question, no it is only OK make-up and can be used to "get by".

Considering the price, I think Avon products are outstanding. The only products they sell that I don't care for are the eyeshadows and the blush. Everything else that I've tried performs well, meaning the products do what they say they do, and they hold their color and last on the face.
I am not a fan of Clinique. Clinique products are not hypoallergenic as they claim, and even their mascara causes a reaction in me, making my eyes burn and tear like crazy. Overrated.
Lancome is my favorite makeup brand of all time, so in my opinion nothing compares to it. Their Juicy Tubes lipglosses, if they still make them, are the stupidest thing I've ever seen though. Other than that, perfection.

most of the skin care and cosmetic products i use are from avon. 120 years old, and they are still the #1 direct-sales cosmetics brand worldwide.
nationwide studies last year found avon clinical skin care to be as good as estee lauder and clinique (a sub-brand of EL) for efficacy, price, and overall quality.
i love avon anew retroactive+ 2in1 cleanser, hydraradiance day lotion spf, and ageless results eye cream. i have traded in my $20 cleanser, $38 moisturizer, and $28 eye cream for the above products, which only total $34... and that's at full price.. they are normally on sale.
avon glimmersticks eyeliners are much better than the deparment store liners i have been using... $6 for a twistup liner with smooth, creamy, rich color that lasts all day, versus $12+ for other brands. my aunt is a lancome addict, and my grandmother is an estee lauder addict... they both switched to glimmerstick lip and eye liners as well.
avon uv gloss guard nail top coat is $6, and is shinier, glossier, and lasts longer than the orly or opi gloss coats i have tried. a friend who is a nail tech buys avon nail color all the time.
mark. has been compared by research groups to mac, urban decay, and smashbox. more color variety, personalized palettes, and fresh scents targeted to younger women. i love the hookup lipglosses (especially creme caramel and melon luxe) and make it big mascara is the best volumizing mascara i have ever used.
avon also has nationally recognized brands like skin so soft, naturals, clinical skin care, footworks, and more.
anyone who says avon is subpar because it is inexpensive is paying too much for their products elsewhere. avon can sell at such low prices because they have a huge worldwide market! avon sells more lipsticks every year than any other company.

YES!! Avon products really are top of the line!!!
I used to be an Avon Rep so I could stay home with my daughter... even though I'm no longer a representative, I still ONLY use Avon Products!!!
I have extremely sensitive skin, which they cater for with the Naturals Range... and they have hair and skin products to suit everyone and every age!!!
They're also really cheap... Most products come on sale every 2-3 brochures... so u can wait til they're even better value!!!

avon products are great! i have the eyeliner, foundation, mascara. it works well and it's easy to take off.
um i personally really dislike lancome and clinique, i think they are expensive and my friends use it and results are bad:S
avon has a good price and works effectively. i get an order book in every month and always have an order! it's great

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Avon. Their skin care is amazing,especially the anew day and night creams. Their clearskin acne products not only work, but they aren't that expensive. And the new line they have out called "Mark" is not only pretty, but very well made. I only wear their make-up. They also have these new things out for your nails, that you peel the polish off of a backing, and just stick it right onto your nails. Its nothing short of amazing.

The hand creams are the best from Avon. The cosmetics are okay but I haven't tried many from there.

the avon skincare and lip gloss blow the expensive store brands out of the water!! They have WWAAYY better prices and have the best acne/clear skin line I've ever used. The ANEW line is fantastic!!
I haven't tried the foundation though, I don't wear it.
