A proposal is a statement of work to be done, its not a binding contract.You can add or delete items on the proposal, subject to price changes. An agreement is a binding contract once you sign and approve it. You have 1-3 days, it defends on your state to void the agreement. Never put down more than 10% of the contract amount. All other payments shall be percent of completion. Never ever put down payment of what I stated. Or you will never see your contract completed. One last thing DO NOT accept the lowest proposal. Low bidder always cut corners or subtitutes emperior products.

A proposal is just, proposing to do the work for price asked for in the proposal and an agreement is to do the work as agreed mutually and is binding on both parties unlike the proposal.
