I say a resounding no, marriage is clearly defined in the bible as being between one man and one woman, and this is not at a time. Genesis 2:28. I do not see any positive side to messing with something that God established. I don not think they should be allowed to adopt children, because of the mix signals the children will get about human sexuality. As for then rearing their own biological children I say yes, because children are to raised by his or her parents standard. I don't believe society should butt-in. The gay couple can have the same medical insurance, it depends upon the insurance carrier. No they should not be allowed to file joint tax returns because that privilege belongs to married couples, not even heterosexual couples living together should be able to file tax returns together. I want to add for the record that I do not view homosexuals as evil, or child molesters

If two people truly love one another, why should they not be joined together! My true beliefs in this are they they did not "choose" to be any different than we males & females in our relationships. This is truly the way God made them, the same way he made everyone else. Why should they be chastised for being the way God choose them to be. They have the rite to love just like anyone else. I personally have known many gays throughout my life, & to me, they are no different than you or I. They are a great bunch of people & shouldn't be singled out any differently. And, yes of course they should also have all the rites that go with a "union", "marriage" or whatever you want to call "joining two people together". They also choose their partners in the same manner as everyone else does. We all have the rite to love, who we choose is totally up to us to decide, & no one else should not have a say in it. To be honest, the gays I've known get along much better than some of the male/female relationships I've seen through the yrs. They just seem to appreciate one another more & just plain get along better on the whole! YES, they deserve the SAME rites in EVERY way. There should be NO discrimination for any reasons.

I think that gay and lesbian couples should be recognized by the government, and they should be allowed the same medical and tax benefits as straight couples. I believe that religious leaders should continue to have the opportunity to use personal discretion as to who is married in their church, and should not be forced to perform same-sex ceremonies if they choose not to.
There aren't any reasons that gay and lesbian couples should not be allowed to adopt kids, as long as they are found fit under the same set of requirements that exist for straight couples.

Wow... it's almost like gays are the new blacks.
Gays have rights just like everyone else. it is perfectly fine by me if they want to marry. It is ultimately not my business.
Placing bans on gay people because of religious views is a direct violation of the First Ammendment to seperate the Church from the state.
Discriminating against a certain race or culture is what Martin Luther King Jr. was fighting against. It wasn't just for blacks. It was for everyone.
In any case, doesn't it say in the Bible, "Do not judge, lest ye be judged?" I may not be religious, but I do agree with that saying.

Yes, Yes, & Yes.
Love is love, marriage is marriage. There's no "right" or "wrong" to anything. If people wanna put labels and limits on life, then let them do it. It's only hurting them. There are no pros and cons to a "gay" marriage that wouldn't apply to a "heterosexual" marriage.

No to all! Homosexuality is unnatural and immoral! A man does not have a right to marry another man no more than he has a right to marry his sister! To those who foolishly believe that there is no right or wrong, answer this question: why do we have laws and a justice system?

yes to all the above. We don't need laws that take away rights from a select group.

Yes, to all of the above except the traditional marriage. A committment ceremony of sorts should suffice.
