Superman is a character for DC, & I believe if he were to have a connection to either company you mentioned, he could be considered to have a very, very loose connection to Marvel through special crossover events the two comic powerhouses have printed. To my knowledge, Capcom has never produced a Superman video game, but I could be wrong about this. I would recommend the sites below to learn a little more about superheroes from both Marvel & DC, so you can help your husband without him having to stifle any laughs so as not to hurt your feelings.

The comics will be fine. Marvel needed money to make some of their future films that is basically why they sold. The core things like Batman, Superman, Spiderman and such won't have an effect on it.Hard core heros like Thor and such will probably not get their movies made since Disney will only make movies that will get them profit. Also the movies might be more family oriented which hopefully won't happen.

Superman is not either of those two companies.

Superman is a Dc character created in Action comics in 1938. He is the lead in the Dc stable of characters that includes batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash and tons of others.

good luck!
