What is a different like um word for complementary. It a letter and i need to change mispelled words. The sentence goes like this, What he said to her was not complementary.

Complimentary--with the "I" means that it is free (complimentary buffet at a hotel) or expressing a compliment (what he said was not complimentary)

Complementary--with the "E" means it serves to complete, two items which compensate for each other's deficiency (beans and rice have complementary proteins).
