Well, a centimeter is 10^7 nanometers. A square centimeter therefore is (10^7)^2 = 10^14 square nanometers.

You simply square the linear ratio. Likewise, there are (10^7)^3 = 10^21 cubic nanometers in a cubic centimeter.

So say you have 1 cm = 10^7nm therefore (1 cm)^2 = (10^7nm)^2

the answer is 10^14 nm^2

Hope this helps!
