I believe it is the public that makes the star. I could be the best fisher man in the world but how many people are going to pay to watch me fish? Now if I was the best guitar player in the world, very many people pay to watch me play.
So talent is one thing but marketability is another key ingredient.
Like a football star makes millions but also has millions of fans, these millions of fans buy millions of things such as teeshirts and caps and footballs with the star's name on them. If these millions of people only spent a dollar each on things the football star would still make millions.
It is the fans that make the star, and the star makes the fans by appealing to what the fans enjoy and want to see.

I suppose being a star means that you let your ego believe that you are better than everyone else.
Paris Hilton,Lindsay Lohan,Britney Spears are all shining examples of this.
Stars are fascinating,but I wouldn't want to be one.

To me, it's knowing who you are, being okay with who you are, accepting the fact that you have flaws, and trying to fix them instead of pretending they don't exist.

well, you have to be shiny and big and hot, i mean HOT!. and no worrys about falling because theres no gravity in space.
