If the person is nice to you because they expect something in return or not?

That's a good question, I am really a nice person , and I never expect anything in return that's just me, I try to help out any one that needs it, have a great day!

I would know that they were human. Human's almost universally expect something in return, even if it is just you being nice back.

If someone is being nice to you or being your friend because of expectations then there not a true friend but that does not mean that you can't still be a true friend to them.
You never know, their expectations may reward you.

That's a toughie, and there are lots of problems like this...
Sometimes, people can go after other people because they are attractive, because they have a lot of money, because they can help the people going after them in one way or another...it's tough, and you can never exactly know what they want.
The best thing to do is trust your instincts (not your heart, mind you, the heart can lead you astray) but your real gut instincts, and put into practice everything you know about human nature.

I don't. I will be catious of people intil I get to know them because life taught me this,but my heart is not closed,I will give a person the benifit of the doubt.unless my intsincts warn me that something is wrong.I fianly learned to listen to that little voice. & it's not wrong very often.

I don't, that is what is hard about love. I fall in love and lack of money gets in the way and suddenly I feel love is nothing without money because my girl is leaving me because I can't support her, she has no security with me. It really hurts and can many times make me feel love doesn't exist.
Meeting someone new that asks about money or wants to barrow money feels like that ten times over because it feels like she doesn't like me she thought I had money. That is a lot of pain to feel that over and over again.

sometimes you cant.
sometimes, you can- by taking time to really get to know them better.
Most of us have an angenda. Just be wiser than them.

sadly, you really cant. look for hints, if theyre pushy on a certain subject all the time. then they MIGHT be... not sure thouhg
