The mouse of my computer is not following any command and I can see the cursor moving up and down rapidly on the left side of the monitor automatically. I restarted the computer, but it did not help. I think that some key might have been remained pressed, which is causing problem. Or is there any other reason. Please suggest.

if it's a standard ball type mouse, pop open the bottom and clean the lint. if it's an optical mouse, make sure there's no gunk under it.

Try a different mouse to see if it does the same thing. If you think there is a key on your keyboard try another keyboard. If you don't have spares laying around try borrowing them from a friend. Other than that I don't have any suggestions.

Try:
Start

Mouse
Check all tabs and options
and,
Start
Settings
Control Panel
System
Hardware
Device Manager
Mouse
right-click and select Properties
Does it say the mouse is working properly?
You will also have the option to upgrade the driver.
