I guess there are too big and they usually need to be watered often.

I think it is because any food that comes in a can must be completely cooked in the canning process. Fully cooked broccoli changes color from the bright verdant green to yellowish and mushy. It wouldn't be a very appealing product. Also, after it has been cooked and put into the can, it would have to be cooked again, or at least warmed up to be eaten, by this time, there would be no texture left, no flavor and no nutrients.

Because that would be gross. Broccoli is better fresh unless its in a can with cheese instead of water.

I really don't know why! Maybe because they'll get water logged! You can buy broccoli fresh or frozen in the grocery.

Cream of broccoli soup does - but it is very hard to find the broccoli. Maybe it disappears when you can it.....

Have no idea, but while were on this subject, why doesn't Brussels sprouts come in a can?
There are plenty of cans that are the standard size needed to contain these horrible things that my parents insisted that I eat, to stay strong!
Because of this, I do not miss my childhood!

I certainly would'nt want it to come from some can !!. I think to have it broken-down/compacted to some can takes away the quality & benifits of the vegetable !!. Why not let your digestive system get the better quality from the vegetable rather that the veggie that's already been mostly munipulated!?!...[the fresher ther better I say when it comes to vegetables !!!`'R"r`r.r`r',-

Broccoli gets soggy easily. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I don't know. They'll probably find a way. Canned food is killing us off. They're {the canned food producers} only interested in the money, not our health. They count on the laziness of people.
