okay my boyfriends brother is getting married tomorrow i really do not have time to buy an outfit for the event all i have in my closet it a cute halter black dress it is very appropiate and i wonder if this is a good idea or should i find time to pick an outfit tomorrow before the wedding?

The guidelines say - no white [ compete with bride ], no black [ color of morning ], and no colors of bridal party.
If you don't have time to buy another dress, add some touches of color - in a belt, jewelry, shoes, or jacket.
Daytime - wear colored accessories with black, color, or nude heels.
Evening - bright color, gold or silver accessories, with black, color, or gold or silver shoes and bag.

i think wearing a black dress would be completely fine.
a lot of people prefer to wear black over other colors simply because it's slimming, and the color is never "out."
and the best thing about wearing a color like black, is that you can have the reAL fun with the accessories!! :)
add cute jewelry, wear shoes that aren't black --this is where you can add some color for some 'pop.'
and another thing is you can play with your makeup! :)
the possibilities are endless with black..you can do natural makeup, you can do lips that stand out with neutral eyes, dramatic eye makeup with light lips, or even smokey eyes! have fun with it

it is one of the in things to do but i would wear something to put some color in it such as a shawl, scarf, a belt, etc...
try not to wear any colors that are in the wedding as to not to take away from the bride's day. don't go to bold either. kept it simple. by no means wear any white accessories. hope this helps.

Go with the black dress. The "Little Black Dress" is always simple and cute. Plus, black is a slimming color. =) Good luck!

Black at a wedding is considered in bad taste unless it is one of the bride's colors. The guests are not supposed to wear it.

if its an evening or black tie wedding yes. wear it with some diamonds and heels and low-key hair.

yeah. you really should. the white dress represents that you are getting married clean and pure. well everything depends on you. I think white is better because of that reason.
