by chance notebook doesn't work properly can they sort out the problem?If their engineer come then how much rupees they take it? are spare parts easily available & what's the resale value of it?

Dell is a very good choice for Laptop due to following advantages
1. Dell is the only company which gives you a chance to configure a Laptop and order according to the needs that suit your purpose.
2. There is no dealer or distributor so the prices are good as you deal directly with the company.
3. Service is good.
4. Spares are made available very fast.
5. You get a freshly manufactured piece as you configure your unit and it gets manufactured for you.
6. Due to its brand name you can also get a good resale value.

Yes its a very good company and they engineer will charge 800 per call till the call is completed and you can get the spares very fast also.

dell advantages
quite cheap
very good designing
not bad screen
good processor coz it uses intel core 2 duo
disadvantages
dunno whether got srvice in india
no creative models meaning always the normal laptops. not like hp or sony which creates convertible laptops or touchscreen pcs.
but still i will not recommend dell bcoz dell is not that good in performance. u ought to go for hp or sony. but hp bttr than sony if u r looking for affordable ones.

I buy them for school means 200 laptop at a time for last seven years, so far they were very tough ,almost daily used and abused by student comparing to other laptop companies they do great , it is a good buy.

In India HP has the most extensive customer support than any other companies PROVIDING EXTENSIVE CUSTOMER CARE
If you are looking in for customer support please go in for HP
Charges are confined to on-sight repairs or off-site repairs or online repairs

I hope so. I just ordered an Inspiron last week. I haven't heard anything bad about them. I have no idea what their foreign rates are or how they handle foreign clients.
