I can't bear to be around a spider, the sight of a large one makes me ill. Other animals don't bother me though (like snakes, mice, etc)

I'm not really talking about carnivores, like man-eating tigers.

Well I am not afraid of all men like some posters are suggesting but I am afraid of all bears that wonder into my yard, and i am afraid of all pike that ruin my swim in the lake. my only phobia that i can think of is calagelophobia.

I'm not really scared of any, but I am cleaning out a shed at the moment, the first time in years, and I am cautious about where I put my hands with so many spider webs.

Hornets, wasps, yellow jackets. Those kinds of things.
I once ran over a hornet's nest with a lawn mower and they swarmed me. I ran inside my house and shut the door but several came in with me so I had to swat them dead, so they wouldn't go after my kids, before I could treat my stings. Then I went into my bedroom to strip down and examine the damage, and five more hornets flew out of my clothes! I was very sick that night. I have been very scared of flying, stinging insects since.

The majority of people answering this question really only have one animal they fear, Homo sapiens. Unlike some people that live in parts of Africa or Asia where fear of being attacked by an animal is real.

Now if you want to ask a more pertinent question. Ask people about their animal phobias.
