my truck will not start unless I prime it with gas every time first....once I do that it runs great. It doesnt need a fuel pump or fuel filter....could the ECM be bad maybe? Someone tried to tell me that it could need the fuel injectors replaced....but I dont believe that is the problem....wouldnt it not even run if they were bad? I took it to a shop who tried to tell me the fuel injectors were plugged up and charged me $130 to flush them....and the problem still exists. My Chilton manual tells me that the Electronic control module tells the injectors to squirt the fuel upon starting so if it were bad couldnt that be my problem??? Please advise....!!!

Under the hood, bolted to the left side fender brackets. It is a black box with a ton of wires going into it. It has a lot of fins on it which act as a heat sink to dissipate heat.

Take out the passenger side glove compartment and look behind it. It will be either there or around behind the passenger side kick panel located to the right of the floorboard adjacent to the passenger side door.
