I have principles that I do not compromise -even if they are painful! but the chaos around me , in this world we live in , is really very unreliable! Is very few that stand alone , in pain , forgotten , for daring to speak the truth! Is it worth it?

Parental influence, religious or no religious influence, school, friends, life expierence. We are a constantly changing animal and I like it that way.

A little genetics and a lot of experiences! It's great that you realize it's not easy to stand up for what you believe in, but even more commendable that you still do! Don't compromise for anyone. Phil hit it on the head, the ones who matter will be standing right there behind or beside you and the ones who don't matter, well, who cares what their opinion is anyway. It is definitely worth it, how hard would it be to have to answer for why you compromised your principles just because you were tired/frustrated and it was easier. Keep your faith and remember that we do NOTHING by ourselves. Ever.

It will be worth it as you grow older. I've stood alone most of my life, because of my principals. Now I am respected by those I care about, and hated only by those I don't.

Say out loud "I am the only authority in my life." That is being the true philosopher.
It is always worth it to be true to yourself...and you are not alone. Ever.
