An English Major is very handy since it can extend to so many art forms. I suggest taking a few drama classes for theory and general practice. The artsy-er college will produce films based solely on Philosophy and Theory of Knowledge. Any college would have a list of its majors, so scan those off of brochures and scholarships.

Probably Broadcasting or Advertising or maybe even Journalism.....I'll tell you that you're going to take classes in copy and scriptwriting for any of these Communication majors...you can always choose to specialize yourself in the area of of scriptwriting later but any of these majors will point you in the right direction...there are also a lot of other specialized type theatrical schools that offer courses in scriptwriting.
