I already asked this in the cooking section, but I am asking it here too since polls and surveys, is basically the most popular. And something like this wouldv'e definately attracted attention.
So heres the question P&S cheifs:
I am making a special kind of coffee and it the recipe asks for Vanilla bean and Dark roast coffee; It's like a mexican coffee type of thing.
So! can I substitute the vanilla bean with real vanilla extract (or vanilla flavor), even though I am supposed to put the vanilla bean in with the grounds while they are brewing?
And can I sub medium roast coffee for the dark roast, and just use more grounds, or would that just completely fuƈk it up?
If these seem like realy basic questions it's because I don't cook much but I really want to in the future,
So can any body help me out?

It doesn't call for just coffee and vanilla bean thats just two of the ingredients.( imention this because someone already assumed this)

Just get that daVinci vanilla syrup and toss it in your coffee

Add alittle honey to the davinchi with your coffee

maybe if you follow directions and got desired results instead of messing it up you would learn to enjoy cooking more
