"There is no easy, absolute answer to this question. The more times the cervix undergoes stress -- be it from D&Cs (for abortions or for abnormal bleeding) or from a LEEP or conization treatment after an abnormal pap smear -- the more likely it may be injured. Such injury includes scarring of the cervix, or cervical stenosis, which can prevent menstrual blood from getting out and sperm from getting in; this leads to higher chances of endometriosis or infertility. Another possible complication is cervical incompetence, in which the cervix is weakened and opens up inappropriately during pregnancy, leading to miscarriage or premature delivery.
Repeated abortions may also cause scarring inside the uterus. We call this Asherman's syndrome, and it can lead to infertility and miscarriage. If an abortion is complicated by an infection, then blockage of the fallopian tubes is another possibility. This may result in infertility, chronic pelvic pain or increased chance of an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. "

With every abortion procedure there is some risk, and the risk increases the further along you are. So no abortion is totally safe, and the outcome is always bad for the baby.

Abortions can cause scarring of the uterus, excessive bleeding and pain and can put women at risk for future fertility problems and difficulties carrying babies to full term. There is a definite link between multiple induced abortions and premature birth.

I would not play "Russian Roulette" with abortions and ask "how many can I get away with and still be ok?" The answer is, abortion is never a good choice. It is harmful to a woman's emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing, and carries many physical dangers as well.

It is a risk everytime. And every time it is done the risk increases.

You would be better getting your tubes tied if you don't want to have children. Or finding some other form of birth control you can reliably stick to otherwise.

Abortion is not a form of birth control! And everybody's body is different. A woman can develop scare tissue after one abortion.

Let's spare this woman your personal abortion views, and just answer the question she asks. Damn. If you people answering this question don't like abortions, than just DON'T HAVE ONE.
