I cut the side of my middle finger (inbetween the 3rd and 4th finger) with glass. It probably needed stiches, but I have little money so I have been butterfly stiching it myself. The cut is fine, its just that I cant feel the tip of my finger. It has been a week.

I would really like feeling in my finger, I need some at home stuff I can do for it. If very severe I guess I will have to see a doctor. Will it just come back over time?

Please Help Me,
Brock

I have the same problem. I cut my "pinky" finger across the first line above the palm, and cannot bend it . You probably cut a nerve. It would probably be wise to see a doctor.

I wouldn't wait, you need to go see the doctor right away. that way he can see if there is any type of nerve damage. plus you have to find out if it is really healing properly. the butterfly stitching won't do. plus they have to give you some antibiotics to make sure there's no serious infection going on. go see the doctor right away because you could lose your finger if it's not properly taken care of. hope that you are OK, take care.

I wouldn't take the chance of having permanent damage to my fingers. See a doctor soon!
