I remember bits and pieces of the movie. What I know is the movie was a book and the title was the name of the creatures/monsters in the story ( I think ).
What I remember was a group of people were on a plane and they would disappear if they fell asleep or something. I was very young when I saw this movie so I can't remember. I think one of the passenger's father use to warn him about the creatures/monsters and how they will get him. If anyone knows the name can they tell me?

it is incredibly The Langoliers (1995) The soda would not fizz as a results of fact they are caught in between time or something like that. fits do no longer paintings and a sandwich tastes bitter. the guy freaking out is Bronson Pinchot from that eighty's teach suitable strangers.
