my felmale guppy stays very still till i turn the tank light on.....Can someone tell me what wrong??????

she is pregnant......so what can i do to make her feel more comfortable for her to have her babies???? And can you tell by looking at her how many she is having??? she is BIG.....REALLY BIG

It doesn't really sound as though much is wrong if she move normally when the light is on. Guppies are diurnal, meaning they're active during the daytime. She may just associate the light being off with her time to rest, and when it's on with her time to be active. And she may be taking a cue from you if you don't feed her until after you turn the light on - the light is her indicator that it's time to eat.

Place a lot of surface plants like Java moss and Java fern in your tank. These make excellent hiding places for the fry, although some will undoubtedly still get eaten.
And no, you can't tell how many she's going to have, although an expert might be able to give a pretty good estimate.

Do you have one of those aquarium lights? If so just keep them on if it makesd them feel more confertable

Nothings Wrong.Fish have to Sleep and that is what she is doing.Hope this helps.
