an actor dressed as bin laden, driving a limousine sporting the Canadian flag, escorted by fake cops on motor cycles, went without a hitch through 2 check points, to within 30 feet of George bush, they only sounded the alarm when he got out of the car.
Australian police got egg all over their face and are not amused.
How easy would it have been if the fake osama had carried a AK47??

australian police didnt get egg on their dials. They were just secretly hoping for entertainment. And they got it.
Well done Chaser, and N.S.W. Police.
I was only hoping Bin Laden (Chaser) was able to get closer to Bush to ask him some stupid questions!!!
Would have been a riot.

Being an Aussie, tts been great listening to all sides of this story.
The government and police said they did a great job because they caught him and his 10 buddies - they fail to mention when talking how they got past 2 security posts and only got stopped at third when he got out of the car.
Listening to people who work at the TV Station which the show airs on, they have come out and said that the only reason they got caught is because they scared themselves with how close they got to the hotel and they actually turned around so he could get out of the car and get caught.
It would have been really scary if they weren't comedians, but real terrorists who actually intended to do something dangerous - and its not just the Aussie police with egg on their face, but also the Government who have stated how high tech the security is, how well its working and that its doing its job and they will all be safe. As much as I don't watch that show, I applaud them for what they did cause it does show just how lack luster things are there at APEC and what a waste of money they have spent on "security".

It was very funny and just what we have come to expect from The Chaser boys and the cars they were in had insecurity written on them instead of security.
Seriously though they should getting a pat on the back for showing how lax security was and be happy in wasn't Osama getting out of the car.

Hi there!
Yep!
It was one of our tv comedy shows that are always pulling stunts!
I think they went a bit too far this time!
How safe can it be if they can do this!
It's a bloody Joke!!!
The guys have been charged now so lets hope they don't keep doing these things.
Imagine if it had of been someone with a bomb, I read that they were only 15 metres away from the hotel!

This is something that should not of happened.I fell that who ever trys to do these things should be brought up on charges prank or not.No matter who it was or were they where.Anyone in any goverment should never put up with this crap.If you screw with goverment security you should be brought up on federal charges in that country and be made an example. That way we don't here next time someone does this stupid stuff they dont have to wash up the brains that got splatter on the walls from the next imature idiot that trys it.This is not something you do to any type of goverment from any country period.

George Bush was not at the hotel at the time they were there, it was only the place he was staying. It is embarrasing for Australia but I think the actions of the Chaser people were irresponcible and dangerous, they wouldnt have liked it if they were shot up would they

The police weren't amused but the polls showed that over 90% of the Australian people thought it was a jolly prank.
I thought it was pretty funny too.

(and of course it was in the news! I saw it at noon on CNN. )

An AK47 is too obvious. Special agents are trained to watch for those type of weapons.

George is purely sorting out for himself and his oil! returned while it replaced into shown that Iraq did no longer have WMD he could have pulled out our troops. yet, NO, we ought to maintain them over there the place they are not needed via the individuals who stay there. i'm uncertain how our government officers sleep at evening!
