It is possible, but not the safest way and it will leave you with saggy skin. It is safer to plan to loose about 1 pound per week.
I am guessing that since you are so overweight, you may also have other health concerns like high blood pressure, diabetes or heart problems. These conditoins usually accompany the excess weight.
Adopt a vegan diet. You can get plenty of protein from vegetables. Make sure that you get a large variety of fruits, vegetables and whole grains, and you will get the nutrients that you need. Avoid processed foods, high fat and sugar foods. Do not use any type of soft drink since they are linked to weight gain. You will see good results from the diet if you restrict yourself to a good breakfast and lunch; skip suppers because your body does not need very much energy while you sleep. NO snacks between meals. It is also important to use self control with portion sizes.
There are several vegan cookbooks that can help you to make the changes in your diet. My favorit id "Guilt-Free Gourmet".
Drink only water between your meals (no sooner than 30 minutes before or 1 hour after.) Drinking with your meals will slow digestion and can interfere with your eating habits.
Slowly begin an aerobic exercise program. This will help you to loose the weight and tone your skin so that it does not sag.
Do this for the rest of your life and you will reduce your risk of cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and an early death.

If you are a growing child, you cannot be as aggressive on this program as an adult because teens need extra nutrition (not 80lbs, though) to finish developing their bodies.
There are a hundred different ways (at least!) to lose weight. It all boils down to using more calories than you eat. So eat less and exercise more. Can you lose a pound a day, yes, but it's borderline too fast. Lose too fast, fall off the diet for a minute, gain it back.
There's a new diet aid on the market and I have talked extensively with friends about it. It's called Alli. Don't use it unless you bring a suitcase full of clean underwear with you. Might pack a few towels while you're at it.
I hope you can lose the weight and I really hope you can keep it off.

It's not safe to loose that much weight that fast. Don't try risky things to do it either. Do it the safe way. Loosing a couple pounds a week is a good rate to loose it at.

Safe would be losing a pound to two pounds per week. That's through a healthy diet and regular exersize. Anything more than that and you're probably overworking your body and depriving it of nutrients that it needs to function properly.

That is much too drastic. It will be hard on your body and make it more prone to gaining the weight back. (ie, starvation mode)
