I took a wallet and a pair of undies when I was 10. I later returned them when my friends weren't around and never did it again- the guilt was an albatross around my neck!

Ok since I was 9 or 10 shoplifting and sterling was always interesting to me and it still is to this day... One of the reasons I do it is because I have never been caught. The only time I've been close to being caught was at toys r us. Yes I know (facepalm) its because they have isle monitors. But the most expensive 290$ pair of Oakleys sunglasses.
Now with advice for shoplifting... Don't do it often in the same place. And don't steal anything under 100$ the first time cause some states including mine (Fl) you can be prosicuted and end up paying more than the Item.

A few years ago ...
I went on a job interview at the local grocery store and it was early in the morning. Afterwards I thought I would get a breakfast sandwich from them (like $3) and I ordered it and I was so nervous about the interview because 1. it was my first interview for a job, and 2. I knew I had screwed up really bad. So I was so lost in my interview thoughts I walked out with out paying for the sandwich. When they called to offer me the job, I declined.

Oh jeez.... when my sister and I were in our teens, we were obsessed with NKOTB (New Kids on the Block). We would take the Tiger Beat magazines off the racks and walk around the store with them, and fold the pictures of NKOTB into the spine of the magazine and pull them out and stuff them in our purses. Then we'd put the magazines back. Kind of lame, but oh well.
