I have just watched - Vision of Escaflowne and loved it, I am looking for something like this to watch any recommendations?

If anyone can recommend something like Vision of Escaflowne, I would be greatful, as none of my friends are anime fans so I dont get to share this stuff with them -_-

I haven't seen Last Exile, but I've heard that it's good. I also second the recommendation for Escaflowne.
I also like DN Angel, but that's more focused on romance than action, although it does have some exciting moments.

Well if you want fantasy AND romance you could always try Fate/stay Night. It's got magic and a really cute romantic story as well. A warning though, the ending can be real downer.

There is Voices of a Distant Star it is a sci-fi/romance anime but it is good but sad at the end.

If you don't mind BL, I suggest Gauken Heaven. Its very cute. Also you should check out Tactics. Its a real cool series. I have the entire series uploaded onto you-tube, check it out.

"Fushigi Yuugi" is a classic fantasy/romance anime. You could also check out "Ayashi no Ceres," which is also by Yuu Watase. I happen to really enjoy "Saiunkoku Monogatari" as well.
