Ok so I just need help with this one so I can see how to do the rest of them.

Simplify

4[2x-(3-5x)] + 3[3x-(4+x)]

And do it step by step so I can see the steps to simplifying an equation like this ty.

4[2x-3+5x] + 3[3x-4-x] (Distribute the sign)
4[7x-3] + 3[2x-4] (Combine like terms in the brackets)
28x-12 + 6x-12 (Distribute the numbers in front)
34x - 24 (Combine like terms again)

Normal brackets first, then square brackets :) Remember multiplication sign rules (2 same = positive, one of each = negative)

4[2x-(3-5x)] + 3[3x-(4+x)]

= 4[2x-3+5x] +3[3x-4-x]
= 4[7x-3] +3[2x-4] -- tidy up inside the brackets
= 28x -12 +6x -12 -- multiply out the brackets
= 34x -24 -- collect like terms :)

I guess you could make this 2(17x-12) but I don't really see why (depends what you're doing with it - if nothing, leave it as 34x -24)

(Please properly go through my working in case I made an error. My method is ok, but it's 3am. I have double-checked it for you, though! :P)

4[2x-(3-5x)] + 3[3x-(4+x)] First step is to simplify the ( ) by multiplying the - in front of it which is actually a -1 which gives you. Do inner most parentheses first and work your way out.

Try rewriting it if it helps.

4[2x-1(3-5x)] + 3[3x-1(4+x)] ----Distribute the -1 inside ( )
4[2x -3 +5x] + 3[3x -4-x]------Now simplify inside [ ]
4[7x - 3] + 3[2x -4]-------------Now distribute the 4 & 3 inside [ ]
28x-12 +6x -12 ----------------Now combine like terms: +28x, +6x and -12, -12
34x -24

*work inside out. get rid of the parenthesis first:
4[2x-(3-5x)] + 3[3x-(4+x)]

if it is easier for you, do the right side first then the left.
4[2x-3+5x] + 3[3x - 4 - x]

then combine like terms.
4[7x-3] + 3[2x-4]

and solve by distributing.
28x -12 + 6x - 12

solve by combinig like terms.
34x-24

your answer is 34x-24.

4*2x - 4*3 + 4 * 5x + 3*3x - 3*4 - 3x
= 8x -12 +20x +9x -12 -3x
=34x -24 = 2(17x - 12)
