I am really good friends with this guy, lets call him Bob.
He went to a different high school freshman year, but now transferred to my school. All throughout middle school and junior high, he has been like a dork. Idk, everyone made fun of him and all the popular people talk about him. I want to be his friend, but i don't want to be made fun of. I have low self esteem as it is. I know i hsouldnt care what the popular group of people say, but its hard to just brush it off your shoulder! i have to be in this school for another three years, and i want ot make the right choice. Today in spanish class some of the popular girls were laughing and talking about how weird he looked and stuff like that. I dont know what to do, i really really really need advice.

If you think he's a good guy, hang out with him anyhow. They may not go beyond "OMG, I can't believe she hangs out with him!" and anyhow, who cares what they say? He could be a really good friend, and that could be really good for your self esteem regardless of what other people say. Besides, those other people aren't worth your attention anyhow.

You made your bed, you've made your descision. Better to just make peace with it, you've already neglected the right path. OOOOoooo you could make the choice to stand and fight for this guy, but then again you've got all those insecurities to worry about! So don't go fighting for ideals now, shoot be like the rest of us! Lost, Insecure, and selfish! Its the way to be!!! Its the american way..... doesn't HAVE to be yours, but....
