Oktoberfest starts next weekend! Also there's a "Halfway to St Patricks Day" pub crawl-the Irish counterpart to the German festivities...always fun to see a drunken brawl in the middle of 16th St. I won't be there this year, I'm much too pregnant, but it is a good time.
For non-alchoholic fun you could take a short drive into Boulder for some hiking at Chataqua or Boulder falls, there's also lots of museums, small intimate theatres, etc. I highly recommend Impulse Theatre and dinner/apps upstairs at the Wynkoop Brewery. Just don't get suckered into eating at "touristy" places like Elways, Chophouse, etc. Denver gets a bad rap, culinarily speaking, but there are plenty of really great restaurants that aren't even in the guides. Eat like us locals: Microbrews and/or green chili with EVERYTHING. LOL. or maybe thats just me.

Go to Sing Sing!!
It's great for a novelty fun night-- it's a bar, 2 piano players who can play ANYTHING if the tip is right. (Ever hear "Baby Got Back" on a piano??) It's hysterical, and always packed. Lots of chicks too- bachelorette party central- in case any of your buds is single. (or you....) ...or if you're a girl- you'll have fun singing along!
