I'm actually an Independent, and NO, I don't work for Fox News.
I hold some conservative views and some liberal views, depends on the topic.

as a liberal democrat:
hooray for the federal investigation! hopefully, they did everything legally so there won't be an appeal.
question, though:
did they survey everyone? i have no tolerance for corruption.

Only two were specifically identified in the article as Democrats, not 11 (do you work for Fox News?). BUT, there have been many Democrats, as well as Republicans, in New Jersey politics who have been indicted, arrested, prosecuted and/or convicted of bribery and corruption. That's politics in New Jersey, after all... New Jersey is one of the most corrupt states in the Union (my opinion, I can't back it up with research, yet).
Interesting, however, the way both Republicans and Democrats (particularly Republicans, in this case) point out corruption in the opposing party to divert attention from current scandals in their own party. Craig & Vitter get caught doing the nasty, and out come the attacks on Democrats. Interesting... And revealing...
Having said that, corruption should be investigated and prosecuted at every level, including the Presidential Administration, regardless of party. To paraphrase Billy Jack, "When the lawmakers break the law, there is no law except the law of self-preservation."

Goes with the territory. Chicago, Jersey, NYC and Philly are filled with corrupt, low level politicians.

I find it a bit odd that the feds only seem to be going after democrats these days. If I were a little more suspicious, I might look at the recent political firings at the justice department and draw some conclusions.

As a liberal Democrat, I think it's par for course in NJ. That's just a corrupt state.

There are many politicians who are corrupt, which includes Democrats. There's one a few miles east of me, assuming the mayor's office in Detroit.
Just because I think many Republicans are cognitively impaired doesn't mean I'm horny for Democrats. Career politicians in general, who pander to special interests, are one of the biggest sources of the country's ills.

I would say that Conservatives and Republicans finally caught a break in the news. It has been ALL Republican scandals for several years now. Although, the ones in New Jersey are small small potatoes compared to the republican criminals.

local politics is full of these kinds of stories on both sides...
but it's really only a local/state story... very few people care outside of the state what one state's local Representatives are doing...
I mean... it's a shame it happened... but it's really just corrupt local politics...
EDIT: hey... only two were Democrat? are you not even going to correct your own question with an addition?

Whooopie. You found a crooked school board and a few state officials - call in the press! Everybody's doing it! Now we can excuse our Republican National Congress members!
Nah - I don't think so

Hell in Jersey it is all legal as long as you don't get caught. How about the homos in the the GOP I would rather my elected representative take a bribe then take it in the bung hole.
