This sequence is very famous.
each number is obtained by adding two previous numbers.
2=1+1
3=2+1
5=3+2
and so the 8th number is 13+8= "21" and the 9th is 21+13= "34".

this is a simple number sequence, know as the Fibonacci sequence, it is solved by adding the previous two numbers to arrive at the next, ex. 1 +1 = 2, 2+1=3, etc. etc. the next two numbers would be, 8+13=21, 13+21= 34, so 21 and 34.
