Funny--you couldn't be more wrong (see below). Open your mind, and have fun reading! BTW, the ACLU only represents people who ask to be represented--as is the case with most lawyers, they don't go out searching for clients.
ACLU Cases Defending Religious Freedom
The ACLU is fully engaged in defending a broad range of constitutional rights, including rights related to freedom of religion and belief. It is sometimes wrongly imagined that the ACLU does not vigorously protect rights of freedom of religion, particularly of Christians. The following recent cases illustrate just how wrong these misconceptions are. Although the cases listed below are under the categories of "Christians" and "non-Christian" (representing the religious beliefs of those who were defended), constitutional rights belong to everyone and not only to people of particular religious faiths. The ACLU is also proud of its work defending the rights of everyone by ensuring that the Establishment Clause is fully respected.

Notice how NONE of the ACLU's defenders touch on the fact that these criminals are convicted of defrauding the welfare system? It's a BS ploy to get money. Much like the hippies of the 60's this is a group that should be abolished. As for they don't pick cases.
BULLSHIT !!!!!!!!!One of the reasons the death penalty takes so long to execute (pun intended) is the unwelcome and unasked for interference of groups like this.

The ACLU is a BS organization. Thanks to the "tolerant" folks at the Anti-Christian Lawyers Union, school kids in NY are allowed to display the Muslim Star and Crescent or the Jewish Star of David - *both* religious symbols - but don't even *think* of displaying a Nativity scene. Someone please explain to me what the difference is....I see this as absolute discrimination.
Besides, they crossed a line when they defended the kiddie rapers at NAMBLA. Freedom of speech should *not* extend to anyone seeking to deprive others of their basic human rights. I think a child certainly should have the right not to be raped by some sick SOB who should be used for medical testing.

That woman is just using that as an excuse to try to get out of the trouble she's going to get in for not finishing, more like barely starting, her community service. And the ACLU is going right along. I wonder if they'd rush to the aid of a white couple who had to have their crosses removed in jail? Probably not.

You seem to be stretching here a little bit. The ACLU will defend anyone it doesn't matter what rights are or are not violated. Also i've never heard of a christians right to wear a cross being violated, but if it was i'm 100% certain they would go to bat for them if asked. They are sort of a necessity even though what they do doesn't always seem right.

OK, I get it.
This non-citizen and her non-citizen husband commit welfare fraud, which is probably a violation of something in the Koran.
Then they plea bargain it to an agreement to perform Community Service, and they blew that off, which probably a violation of some part of the Koran.
Then she goes to jail and complains that they took her head scarf, which she could have used to hang herself, which would have resulted in the Officers being brought up on charges.
Now the ACLU is going to sue the authorites on her behalf?
WHAT A CROCK!
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE HATE LAWYERS.

***Funny how you never seeing them defend a Christians right to wear a Cross.***
In fact, the ACLU defends EVERYONE'S Constitutional rights, even those of rabid rightwing anti-gay Christian militants.
If you're looking for any "anti-American scum," then look no further than your bathroom mirror. Silly little troll.

The ACLU is the only reason you are allowed to have an opinion on here buddy...
The ACLU (although they may defend folks that you don't like sometimes) is probably the most necessary part of making America work...
You might as well just call a sharia law without them...

I am most certainly NOT a member of the ACLU, as a Conservative defense attorney.
Don't undermine the US Constitution by bringing up the ACLU, please. They have done enough of that themselves!

Everyone has a right to an attorney. This is the dumbest argument I've ever heard, and I hear it over and over.
