This means he will pay for the dialysis, etc, and I will have to look after her and husband for a month. We have just recently been through very stressful times ourselves, with family and health issues. I can't beleive this, and our financial status is tight as well. It will be me that the day to day cooking and etc duties will fall on. What should I do and say? am I a ***** for not being more caring about his aunt's situation?

Time to have a long talk with hubby. Point out that marriage is a partnership and it is reasonable for one partner to make a decision that affects both without first discussing it with the other. Like, for example, you inviting someone to stay for a month. If he doesn't understand nature of your concerns (about the marriage relationship) suggest counseling...at least for him if not the two of you.

No, you are not wrong for being mad. You guys are married, which means that you are supposed to make decisions together. What he did was almost plain carelessness toward you in my book. You need to tell him that since she is already here and it's a month, she can stay, but in the future no one sleeps in your house unless you both agree. Sorry about your situation. God bless and find comfort in God's plan for you in the greater scheme of things.

WOW!! Sorry to declare this yet your mom is SCANDOLOUS! And a terrible sister!! in the experience that your mom and you arent on speaking words then I dont see a situation with you telling your aunt. you need to save her marriage. I dont understand why your aunts husband hasnt stated something on your aunt or advised your mom to stop.

He should have talked this through with you. You need to sit down and talk calmly with him so that he can see your point of view. He must be a nice man to have such compassion for his aunt though..
