My favorite books by Dean Koontz are Watchers (which was described by someone else above), along with:
Dragon Tears-
Detective Harry Lyon and his partner go to lunch and encounter a crazed gunman... by coincidence, he runs into something far more evil and powerful... a being who calls himself "Tick Tock" and tells Harry he has 24 hours to live begins to terrorize Harry, those Harry loves and a handful of seemingly unconnected people... fast paced, entertaining and sometimes brutal, I couldn't put it down.
Intensity-
Chyna Shepherd goes with a friend to visit the friend's family. However, she hears a sound in the night and finds herself matching wits against a crazed killer... great book... from the moment the killer steps on the scene, you hold your breath.
The Door to December-
A woman whose daughter was kidnapped by her ex-husband years before gets a call that her scientist ex-husband has been murdered and that her daughter was found at the scene... when it's discovered that her ex-husband actually used the daughter in his sensory deprivation experiments, they are led down a path that seems unreal.
All of these are great... Koontz's middle works are the best in my opinion... Midnight was gooda and CREEPY. From the Corner of His Eye was pretty good.

Welcome to Dean Koontz's world. By the light of the moon was just another one of his great reads. They're all good and you'll find theyre all different. My favorite was "Strangers". Its an older one written in the late 80's. "The "strangers" are thousands of miles apart when they begin to suffer inexplicable terrors. In California, Dom Corvaisis sleepwalks, fleeing from an unseen menace. In Massachusetts, gifted young Dr. Ginger Weiss's panic attacks threaten her career. A priest in the Midwest loses his faith suddenly, then finds he can heal fatally injured people. And, in Elko, Nevada, the owner of a motela tough ex-Marinebecomes paralyzed by fears of the dark. Mysterious clues bring these characters and others, similarly afflicted, to the motel, where apparently they had met long before. As they compare experiences, the victims realize they've been brainwashed and determine to find out why. That means facing death at the hands of a maniac in a scene that finally induces frissons of terror in the reader. But it's too late; Koontz has vitiated suspense throughout the narrative with numbing repetitions and long explanations of such matters as Jewish cooking, the baldachin over the altar at St. Patrick's Cathedral, a weaver's tools, etc" I got the Synopsis from Amazon. Its a great book if youre interested.

My favorite book by Dean Koontz is one he wrote years ago and that is "Watchers". It is a great story, well written and I loved it and still do. It is about a dog named Einstein who had belonged to a government agency who had done experiments on Einstein and he escaped. An adventure and a thriller. Actually I love all of Koontz's books and I have all of his and Stephen King's.
