Once upon a time there was a decent politician.
he saw what was wrong with the country anbd decided that he could fix it.
Many of his fellow politicians felt that he should do things for the party first, but he saw the fallacy in that line of thought.
He did not feel the need to line his own pockets, or abuse his power and position or trade his vote for short-term gain.
He proposed legislation that not only would help people now, but help people in the years to come.
He spoke truthfully and honestly, as he felt the public deserved to know what the government did and failed to do.
(And if yo believe this story, you are living in a fairy tale)
