I have only one issue with this question and comments to it: what in the hell is her husband doing discussing their sex life with strangers? If my man started bringing up other people's opinions into my bed, I would send him back to where he came from. Because I deserve a better treatment.

It's a fair question. I think the answer is pretty spot on. It's not an obligation. Unlike oral sex, anal isn't "Standard" practice these days. Therefore, if there's no communication about it ahead of time, he has no reasonable right to expect it. If that was an important part of his sex life, he had a responsibility to initiate discussion about it BEFORE marriage and find a life partner who was interested and willing. Also, it's more likely to result in injury, discomfort, and pain then other sex acts, and if that's the case for her, she has every right to say no (besides, it's only smart. If it hurts badly, it could be causing tearing that could lead to infections or problems). Wow, what a pig of a husband.

By the man's reasoning, the women could refuse completely because most of her friends don't let their husbands do that at all. Ha!

She doesn't like doing it and he shouldn't be pressuring her. She has legitimate reasons for not wanting to perform that kind of sex (pain, discomfort, etc.). What people should wonder instead is why he wants it in the first place.
