How long has she been pregnant for you need to answer that first. If she is ready to give birth right this very second put her in the tub but make sure she has an air bubble thing. Don't wash the tub with soap wash it with only water. If she is not ready to gove birth, go out tommorow but a breeder trap and put her in it when she is ready. Guppys are pregnant for around a month or so.

I hope you mean you are taking her out of your tank with other fish and putting her into another container. Surely you don't have a fish, pregnant or not, with no tank for it? Personally, I never removed my pregnant fish. I just kept lots of plastic plants (some planted in gravel, some floating on top of the water) for the babies to hide in. Even if you put her in a tank by herself, the babies will be in just as much danger of being eaten by her as by any other fish. You could use a rubbermade tote temporarily though, until you get her back in the main tank.

a plastic tub should be fine as long as it isn't too small. but there are other options to try if you want.
i'll explan how to tell when she is about to give birth soon first :D
when guppies are about to give birth - their gravid spot would be larger as well as their bodies. in other words, they would be "fatter" compared to other females in width. also, the gravid spot (the dark spot near her stomach and anal fin) will be larger and darker compared to other females or in other stages of her pregnancy. furthermore, pregnant female's stomach would sort of "move" into where the frys will come out. their backs will also be in the shape of a "v". the 2 characteristics just mentioned are basically what i use to tell when they are about to give birth. it'll be easier to explain if i could draw it or show you but...................... :P
i would also add plants to your tank or anything like that. this brings me back to the point there are other ways to prevent the newborns to be eaten. i'm not sure you have time, but i would add plenty of plants (elodea, java ferns, etc....) as another option. frys will hide in the plants waiting to be scooped by you to a different, safer tanks. (guppies eat their young) plants also relive stress of pregnancy. furthemore, plants also provide bits and pieces of food for the hungry newborns.
considering how urgent you sound, you probably don't have time.... but this is more of a "while you're in the store" i like to feed my newborns Hikari first bites. it comes in a little green package for about $3 (depending on where you get it from) don't worry tho... there is A LOT in there. and you won't be feeding them this all the time. regualar flake food or boodworms that are also crushed can be feed to them. they have to be like powder or dust though to fit into their tiny mouths. a popular food for frys by breeders is baby brine shrimp. don't give them the eggs tho, because the egg shells are hard to digest. baby brine shrimp is high in protein and iron (or somthing) but it lacks other nutrients so be sure to vary the food. also, you can give them live or frozen. frozen can be baught at your petstore. live ones is having the eggs and hatching them. i heard it was really easy.
hope this helps:D btw congrats on the babies

A clear container of a pint or larger, floating in the main tank. Place some java fern and/or java moss in with her to provide shelter for the babies and make her more comfortable.

Above sound about the best you can do. Just add a small air stone with a little bubbles going.

Use a fish bowl temporarily until you can buy a tank. Also, pack the fish bowl with plants in case she has her babies, then they won't get eaten.
