i would guess that it would be the conciousness of death.
as i know that physical immortality would be a waste of time.
knowing that my time is limited, i feel that it is the quality of life , not quanity of life that is important.watch the movie Patch Adams and you see a bit of what i mean.it also means sharing some of that quality with others, keeping it just for yourself is no fun.
i think that the main fun comes after death, so why fear it.
a joy shared is joy doubled,
a sorrow shared is sorrow halfed.
God bless,
gabe

Are those the only options? What about none of the above?
How about my life being shaped by the fact that I am here anyway so I may as well make the best of it? Harm no one and maybe nobody will harm me in return.
You start dying the minute you are born, you can't stop it so why dwell on it? Accept what happens between birth - death; that's all the time you have. Use it wisely.
Secure physical immortality?!!? There is a guarantee somewhere that says if you do this, you will live forever? Do you think there is the slightest chance that someone might be lying to you? Name one person in the real world who has achieved this. I hope they aren't asking you to pay for the secret.

ARe they not both one in the same? Attempting to secure a physical immortality is a conscious effort to NOT die, after all. That being said, what is your true question?

Well I looked death in the face 6 years ago when I had Breast Cancer and laughed at him cos I am better than fine now. I had a radical mastectomy and a horrendous course of chemo and beat it! Now we are getting me up and on my feet again. On 13th August I had a radical hip and knee replacement operation. Both at the same time on the same leg! Very tricky and rarely done cos it is very dangerous. Today I have walked 582 steps. In November I am going to have the same done to my other leg. So, would you class that as physical immortality? I would!

We all know we are going to die eventually. And I have no wish to be immortal physically. All the good stuff out there is in Heaven.

Immortality, what a boring concept. Go to work, to bed, on holiday, etc. forever ? Brrrrr!
Now I'm not obsessed by death either. It comes when it comes, and when it comes you are not there anymore so why worry ?

I'm from Romford and therefore the thought of physical immortality is somewhat repugnant to me.

Or by knowledge of my actions having an impact on my eternal life with Jesus? Who wants physical immortality if it keeps them from being with Jesus?

Mine is shaped by an ancient blind monkey, often into a loose romboid or trapezium, but sometimes he just wigs out and makes it into some freeform concoction... those are tough days i can tell you
