I don't think that would happen in this Country...maybe Russia or somewhere else....but I still think maybe that is a bit harsh.
But say it has happened....I think the child would have a major case. That would be one for the record books.

It would be an obvious case. Pregnant women have been convicted and had their baby while serving their sentence. The baby becomes a ward of the state and will be placed with relatives if there are suitable relatives or with foster parents until the mother gets out, gives the child up or the child becomes an adult.
Once the baby is born, it is treated just like any other child of a prison inmate. They certainly are not made or allowed to live in the prison with their parent.

No, of course not. In fact I saw a reality show on TLC (i think) about women in prison and they have a whole ward where pregnant women stay and give birth and then they have to give the baby up. I guess if they have a family member to take it home they get first dibs, but the child was only with it's mother for about 5 minutes before they took it away.
Even our country isn't twisted enough to let something like this happen.

This would never happen. Child services would not allow it. A child has the right to an education, to socialization and to an environment that is conducive to appropriate physical, emotional, and social growth; this can't happen in a prison. The child would be placed in foster care or with the closest relative until he/she was 18 or the mother was released from prison and seen to be a fit mother.

Yes. definitely if the law protects and upholds justice. A child born to a felony parent has nothing to do with the crime, regardless whether she was born before or after the crime was committed.

would never happen, but if it did it would be illegal confinement and yes the child would have a case.
could you imagine a child raised in prison, it would have no chance in hell of living a normal life.

No judge would ever order to "make" a child stay in jail.

I highly doubt that this would happen. The child most likely would be taken away by the governement.
