how evasive are the Angel trumpets roots?

They do not have a large root system, but all vegetation should be far enough away from the home to deter bugs and rodents. Most importantly know that these plants can be fatal in the hands of some curious teenagers!

They are extremely invasive. They won't do the damage a Wisteria can do like pull things off their foundation, but they do tend to sneak under siding which can cause damage. Trumpet vines are among the most invasive of vines and will most probably end up where you don't want it, however, if you like humming birds, they are worth it.

You need to plant it a good 5 ft from your garage. I have one that came back from a root left in the ground (friend dug up the mama plant as my mom is allergic to the scent of the flowers).
